Steps: How to create a Payment Link in 4 easy steps

  1. You are required to calculate the final amount that they wish to charge to the merchant. Take note on the tax, delivery charge column is only for display purchase. This "Total Amount" is the amount that the system will recognise and charge to the customer's credit/debit card.
  2. If there are more than 1 item and you need to breakdown, just simply click on the "Add Role" button to create more rows for you to enter the description that you wish to be reflected at the Checkout page where your customer is making the payment.
  3. You are required to enter all the information in every individual field, even if the quantity is 1, you need to enter"1" in the box as well. If the column is left by default, the entire row of the description will not work.
  4. Once you have ensure all the items are in place, you can now create the payment link.

Once you have created the Payment Link successfully, you will be redirected to the page as shown in the screenshot Fig 3.  The Red box is the Payment URL that you need to copy and forward to your customer to click and make the payment.

When a payment link is being created, it will always be in "pending" status. As soon as when your customer attempt to pay, you can see the status changed to:

  • Captured - The payment has been successfully captured by SmoovPay
  • Failed - Some error has occurred and the payment is not being captured successfully.

Once your customer had click on the payment link, they will be redirected to SmoovPay Secure Payment Page as shown on Fig 4

*Once the payment is done, customer will receive their invoice by SMS and email immediately. Merchant can check the status of transaction in the Transaction History.

As the system does not allow merchant to edit the payment link once it has been created, allow us to provide a workaround for your issue here by explaining how to "Delete" the unwanted payment link that is being created.
